5. Miscellaneous

5.1 software author

rdesktop was written by Matt Chapman (matthewc@cse.unsw.edu.au), and as he states: (is) "based on various scarce documentation, wire sniffs, and trial-and-error." The author released rdesktop under the GNU Public licence (GPL). Feedback, bug reports and patches to rdesktop are to be directed to the to the author, not this documents author / editor / maintainer.

5.2 rdesktop mailing-list

There is a mailing list, rdesktop@rdesktop.org, for people interested in rdesktop and the RDP protocol. Send a blank e-mail to rdesktop-subscribe@rdesktop.org to subscribe, and feel free to post relevant discussion. There is a mailing list archive at http://mail.rdesktop.org/archive/

Be sure to send patches to rdesktop to rdesktop-patches@rdesktop.org so they are not overlooked.

5.3 credits

The vast majority of this mini-HOWTO is pulled straight from the rdesktop page, located at http://www.rdesktop.org.
