The latest version of rdesktop is 1.1.0. This features significant improvements over 1.0.0, including support for Windows 2000 and high colour displays (but not connections in high colour). However keyboard support is still limited, and version 1.0.0 with experimental patches may be preferable for those with non-PC hardware.
rdesktop has been tested on RedHat 7.2 with kernel 2.4.14 and XFree86 4.0.3. It successfully accessed both Windows NT 4.0 SP6A and Windows 2000 Server SP2 Terminal Server sessions.
